My name is Catherine Gustave also known as Cat or RWRKDCAT!
I am a director and filmmaker leading an exclusive femme-driven creative production and project management agency. Now all these titles are cute and all, but my history displays the amount of hats I've worn. Let's take a deeper dive into my evolution as a freelance creative.
My journey began in 2012, when I enrolled into my high school's TV Production course. Learning the basis of production at such a young age showed me how to get experience in various areas on set; editing content, creating treatments, casting talent directing a set and much more.
Shortly after graduating, I began implementing the tools I learned as a film producer and director for my personal business brands I've developed overtime. Now, being a college graduate in Business Management from Florida International University, I am taking years of self-experience and knowledge to implement into my private agency to delivery my work in my own language.
PERSONAL MISSION & PURPOSE
My staple focus is to bring intention into visions transforming them into works of art based in transparency and authenticity. Being able to indulge in imagination keeps the inner child within us alive and that’s an important factor in my creative process.
I uphold my brand on the core values of authenticity and transparency. Making art that reflects myself inspires not only myself but others. Creating art that is relatable feeds the passion in my creativity to keep expanding.
THE MEANING BEHIND THE NAME
Many people haven’t been around long enough to know backend history about my career, but one of my first business endeavors as a teen was to rework and curator one-of-one garments out of sustainable thrift clothing items. I throughly enjoyed taking something already exist and incorporate my own creative flare to it.
Creating something from what others considered to be nothing has allowed me to see the value in collaborative artistic efforts bring in. And although Catherine may be my first name, I really hold the spiritual representation of the cat species close to me. Their ability to preserve and stay true to self is a moral value that has served me well in life.
